Step 8 of 9 · Core Curriculum

Reflection & Confidence Calibration

Reflective practice closes the loop between seeing, reasoning, and accuracy — and surfaces the patterns each learner most often misses.

Learning focus

  • After each exercise, identify what was missed or misinterpreted.
  • Compare stated confidence against actual accuracy.
  • Notice recurring blind spots across compartments, stains, and patterns.
  • Set the next deliberate-practice target.

Reflection prompts

  • “What did I miss or misinterpret?”
  • “What visual feature would have changed my answer?”
  • “Was my confidence well-calibrated to my accuracy?”
  • “What will I practice next?”

Reflections, confidence ratings, and accuracy will be surfaced together in the learner and educator dashboards in the next build phase.
